Important Dates

Date	Event
February 5, 2026	First day for early voting.  Voting to take place on the first floor of the Effingham County Building
February 17, 2026	Last day for voter registration or transfer of registration
March 1, 2026	Last day for voter to register online thru State Board of Elections website
March 12, 2026	Last day to receive application by mail for a vote by mail ballot
March 16, 2026	Last day for early voting. Voting to take place on the first floor of the Effingham County Building
March 17, 20026	GENERAL PRIMARY ELECTION DAY – Polls open 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
March 31, 2026	Last day to receive and tabulate any vote by mail ballot that is postmarked the day of the election.
